Task 4 – Puppet Build



Starting the first build of the puppet I first got the modeller file from moodle and then changed the layer of the objects to suit my needs.


I then used the move tool and rotate tool to put the head, arms, legs and head in position and then used the copy and rotation tools to duplicated the items around the body of the puppet. For this I had to make sure I had the correct angle to rotate around the centre of the object.


After getting all the objects together I made weight maps for the legs of the puppet to avoid stretching parts of the model that I don't want to manipulate when animating the puppet in layout mode. To weight map it i had select each part of leg and then set colours to the legs to help identify parts of the legs and then add the weight maps while identifying the parts using the colour set earlier.
